Kacey Musgraves' Apologize
Triple Pop discovered Kacey Musgraves in 2008 when she was living in Austin, Texas. Triple Pop offered Kacey her first recording label contract.
Kacey performed the acoustic cover songs “See You Again” (Miley Cyrus) which kept in line with her off-beat sensibilities, turning the otherwise pop song into adult alternative acoustic ballad; and One Republic’s “Apologize” which she made heartfelt and memorable.
“Apologize” later turned into a streaming hit on Spotify and became Mrs. Musgraves #1 song with over 37m (37,000,000) streams between 2015 to 2018. In 2019, Marie Claire magazine cited "Apologize" as her #4 best recording in her entire catalogue.
Produced by Monte Robison, both songs were recorded at Brain Machine Recording Studios in Austin.
